TBI to SPREADBORE INTAKE MANIFOLD ADAPTER Vortec INJECT-IT-001

Description

This 1/2 inch thick solid aluminum adapter will allow you to install a Throttle Body Injection (TBI) unit on any intake manifold with an open or split spreadbore (Quadrajet, Thermoquad, Holley, etc) carburtetor mounting surface (see picture for example). When doing a GM TBI conversion project on your old Chevy truck, street rod, rock crawler, or small block Jeep, using this INJECT-IT adapter makes mounting your TBI unit simple and attractive.
If your doing a vortec head conversion on your (1987-1995) Chevy or GMC truck, or TBI car
, and dont want to pay for an expensive TBI intake manifold, just use a spreadbore vortec intake manifold such as an edelbrock performer (#2116) for example, and this INJECT-IT adapter to mount your TBI unit in near factory location (front to back), keeping your throttle linkage, cruise control, and fuel lines easy to fit. DO NOT USE A SQUARE-BORE intake manifold as your TBI throttle bores will be wider than the mounting surface on the intake and airflow will be restricted.
This particular INJECT-IT adapter will only fit 1 11/16" bore TBI units generally found on the 4.3(267), 5.0(305), and 5.7(350) GM engines. If an adapter for the big block 454 model with the larger 2" bores is needed, please contact me.
The following parts will be needed for instalation:
4 - 5/16X1" bolts or cap screws
1 - TBI mounting gasket (Felpro #60903) or (BWD #27723)
1 - Spreadbore carburetor base gasket (MrGasket #57B) or equivelent
