    Description

    Up for auction is a very rare double tax stamped Civil War period CDV of an unidentified Union Lieutenant in profile by O. J. Smith, Newbern, North Carolina. Two tax stamps are affixed to the back - a orange 2-cent Bank Check and a brown 1-cent Proprietary, both showing an ink cancelation , OJS, February 8, 1866. Card is in excellent condition.
