1834 -  Lebanon, Ohio, "We have seen a great moneyed aristocracy grow up within these free states, and monopolize the business, and govern with alarming control the financial interests of the nation...The Bank has made millions of money within the State of Ohio from the business of its citizens, and it has ever refused to allay one cent of tax to support our government or forward our public works.  When the Bank of the United States shall have ceased to exist, the regularly chartered banks of the state will be amply sufficient for the purposes of domestic exchange."
