    Description

Carte de visite photograph of a young soldier in uniform identified to the back in script as "Stephen Ritchy   died in Andersonville Prison   Almyra Ritcheys [Rogers?] Brother   Ashland Ohio   1864".  Thin mount with what appear to possibly be hand-applied blue decorative accents.  It appears that the original pencil handwritten identification on the back was repeated, and revised a bit, in ink at a later date.  The original pencil script is a little difficult to read, but we think it reads, "Almyra [Rogers]? Bro  Stephen  died in Andersonville Prison".  Please review the preceding condition description box and photo gallery.
A fellow eBay member has identified the soldier as "Stephen Ritchey, Company B, 102nd [Infantry] Regiment, Ohio".  Thank you!
The cdv will be shipped well protected in a sturdy box.  We combine shipping.
