Description
1852 - Depositions of witnesses regarding the election of Henry M. Fuller to a congressional seat, is contested by Hendrick B. Wright, the losing candidate. Wright declares voter fraud by qualified electors voting who were "under the age of 21 years, non-residents, foreigners not naturalized, or persons not regularly assessed or returned." Wright also contests the number of ballots counted. Individual depositions are included, along with lsts of voters and oaths by clerks overseeing the election.291 pages, introductory page attached here.
