    Description

Civil War Soldier Tintype possible Confederate.
Signed “H. F. Frisch. Burgess, Missouri Post Office” on back. It is NOT Burgess, Mississippi bc it did not exist in the 1800s. Burgess, Missouri was a village during the war and had a post office serviced for Barton County, Missouri which witnessed heavy boarder warfare between Kansas & Missouri during the war between the states. The county contributed many young boys to both sides of the war. The Battle of Wilson’s Creek is East of Barton County. And battle of Westport is North. Who was this guy? Why is his clothes gray? Did he signup? Why was the tintype holed? I will not accept international bids. I will ship to US territories.
