    Description

Up for auction is a rare carte de visite image of Union propaganda. It shows an
    E. Pluribus Unum banner in the mouth of an eagle flying above the US flag and "What It Is" printed underneath. "What Is IT" depicting the newly formed Confederate States is printed next. The Confederate flag shows seven stars representing the first of the southern states to succeed from the Union. There is a pirate symbol in the canton, the palmetto tree represents SC, the pelican represents Louisiana and the alligator represents Florida. 1861 and King is printed on the bottom left. A rare cdv card. Check out my other images listed on eBay.
