Up for auction cdv portrait of Major General Don Carlo Buell by John P Soule of Boston Mass. Condition good to very good. Please look at photos ask questions before bidding. Thank you for looking.
Problems to be expected will be corner, edge wear including rounded and soft bumped corners with creasing at times and paper loss. Many times corners and edges were trimmed so they could be fitted into cabinet, cdv and tintype albums. Sometimes glue adhering the image to the cabinet or cdv card has come loose in places. There could also be foxing, creases, folds, warps, paper separation as well as scrapes, scratches, pinhole marks. There will also be soiling, spotting and yellowing, So please be aware of these things when looking to buy old photos.
