( S.M.W.CO.

of
BONHAM , TEXAS
during the year
of
1914.
The building was built in 1880 at 223 N. Main Street. This particular business opened its doors in 1901 and closed in 2010. It was mostly a hardware store.
This
LEDGER
has
approximately
418 numbered pages.
Most of the pages have writing on them. The writing lists the names of the customer and how much they spent. Assumedly, most of the names were likely Bonham residents during the year of 1914.. and some of the names are likely from the surrounding area of Bonham.. farmers, ranchers, etc.
IMPORTANT:
Many of the names in this ledger appear to be the
actual signatures
of the customer. I assume this by comparing those signatures to the ones that were clearly written by an employee of SM&W... because each of those names are different, but the handwriting was clearly written by the same person on those. Which means that many of these signatures are actual autographs of the person being accounted.
As far as I can tell, no pages are missing.
This ledger is
FAIRLY HEAVY.
This ledger is
