    The content of this
letter is a follow up to another letter that he wrote
to the same person in Belton, Texas which
    pertains to:
This is the PREVIOUS LETTER already sold:
TWO trains of steers belonging to E.C. Walker
and are billed from Lampasas, Texas to Myers, Oklahoma.
    Cattle were shipped
in the name of Lee L. Russell as he furnished the money to pay for
    the cattle.
    "
Now, there was 1597 three & four year old steers loaded
    in 43 cars.
Train run in two sections.  Had they been
run in reasonable time, they would have made the run
without feed in transit but on account of show
time and delays getting out of all division points, they were
forced to feed at Muskogee and when they
were reloaded, they were loaded back in cars regardless
of what cars they came out of cattle were well rested and
loaded in fine shape and were all strong but cars were
poorly bedded out of Lampasas by loading the 40 foot car
cattle in 36 foot cars at Muskogee they were over loaded.
Many of them getting down and sustaining bruises that
caused 11 head to die.. value to me per head and 15
damaged by having ribs broken and hips knocked down
and so on per head also 43 cars feed unnecessary
per car for which I am claiming this amount in full and it
might be spread a little on general damage to the whole
heard at least 25cts per head.. ...  law suit or settle ...."  There is a bit
    more to the
letter that is signed by E. C. Walker.
This is the CURRENT LETTER that I am NOW
    SELLING
    :
"In my statement to you in regards to my last spring shipment of 45
cars of cattle to Oklahoma.. I think I told you that is originated the
24th of May, if so I was wrong I load out on the 24th of April so I
thought I had better write.... etc, etc...."
