    Description

    PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING:
I sell ONLY ORIGINAL items and NOT ANY reproductions.
TWO SCANS ARE SHOWN.   This sale is for ONE advertising REAL PHOTO POST CARD / AZO from a saddle shop in STAMFORD, TEXAS owned by TEXAS saddle maker C. L. Rogers  (
    Clark Lafayette "C.L. Doc" Rogers
).   In the doorway, Mr. Rogers is the man standing on the left.   He was my brother-in-law's Great Grandfather.  I'm guessing on the date... circa 1905-10.  Date is up to you but, this post card is totally an original.   C.L.'s son, Conrad, was a police officer in Big Spring, Texas (for a little while).
    CONDITION:
This RPPC  has NOT been postmarked or used and has no writing on the back. One corner has an extremely tiny bump.  This card is in excellent condition.  It is sold AS IS.    The "ebay item" thing is just a loose piece of paper.   Approximate size is 3 3/8" X 5 1/2".
PLEASE SEE MY OTHER REAL PHOTO POST CARDS THAT ARE FOR SALE.
Once, around 1994, I visited the once Stamford home of C. L Rogers.  His son (Conrad), my brother in law's Grandfather, lived in the house until he passed away in 1988.  At that time, in the backyard, the saddle shop was still standing when I visited.   The backyard saddle shop took place AFTER the downtown saddle shop.  The backyard saddle shop was in business from
    circa 1919-1938.
I think the backyard saddle shop has been torn down.   When my brother in law went to his Grandfather's funeral circa 1988, all of the saddle making hand tools and hand operated machinery were still in the little backyard saddle shop.   He told me there were hundreds of paper templates of saddles in a giant pile on a shelf that were thrown away.   All of the tools and machinery were sold.
